This is a humanitarian plan to identify various last mile health centre which don’t have labour beds, electricity or appropriate lighting and medical examination equipment especially for expectant mothers and their new born’s health care during night hours and provision of much needed emergency medical diagnosis to support life saving. The program sources for solar electricity grants to provide Solar electrification of these last mile health centres which will provide sustainable energy for around-the- clock medical lighting, fetal monitoring enabling health workers to provide timely, effective obstetric care. This program and initiative can save mothers and their newborn especially during night hours where most of the Rural Health Centre II and III lack reliable sources of energy to facilitate proper Midwifery activities at night.
