Water related illnesses are one of the leading cause of infant  morbidity and mortality cases in Ugandan communities. Fulfilling every child’s right to water, sanitation and hygiene education remains a major challenge for policymakers, school administrators and communities in Uganda.

Our approach is to use technology and reliable innovations to avail sufficient and better quality drinking-water and basic sanitation, combined with teaching good hygiene practices in schools and communities. ESIMO WASH programs aims to reduce on the high rates of infant morbidity and mortality associated with water related  diseases in children as well as those affecting expectant mothers. ESIMO collaborates with development agencies, governments, civil societies and communities to develop market-oriented approaches to improve water quality, repair and maintain and construct clean water sources (boreholes and spring-wells) encourage community members through sensitization about the advantages of  safe disposal of human and non-human waste, as well as  promote the adoption of improved hygiene practices.
